Can Garita & Ibiza Interiors are pleased to present Seu, Miriam Dema’s (b. 1995, Barcelona, ES) first solo exhibition in Ibiza. The show features a selection of new works, created following her participation in the Las Cicadas Art Residency (Ibiza, 2024).

Living Still
At Miriam Dema’s Table

There are tables that remain inhabited even after everyone has left: a half-finished glass, the skin of a piece of fruit, a wrinkled tablecloth bearing the imprint of forearms, the echo of a conversation still lingering in the air... In the paintings of Miriam Dema, these everyday remnants go beyond still life in the strict sense: they are sensitive surfaces where time, tenderness, and presence take shape. The artworks presented in this exhibition are born precisely from that careful attention to what is apparently minor: the intimacy of a shared table, the memory that objects carry with them, the full heart that follows an encounter. Through vibrant colors and gestures that oscillate between precision and accident, Miriam constructs scenes that seem to remember something even before it has happened.
