LAS CICADAS ART RESIDENCY is delighted to present the first exhibition of Marion de Raucourt and Thomas Perroteau in Ibiza.

Blue Grabber features a new series of ceramics, along with new objects, sculptures and paintings, all produced in their studio in Mallorca.

This ensemble is a tribute to the concept of the party, through the staging of modular objects, the juxtaposition of undulating patterns and a singular composition of colors. The tumult of hues and patterns reflects a certain intoxication, an altered vision of the ceremony, as if through its many traditions, it could borrow different figures, forms or characters.

In this context, a subtle back and forth between Marion’s sculptures and Thomas’s paintings, generates a dissident language that gives birth to Blue Grabber. The latter is an allegory of a fictional character, like a nostalgic and heroic figure of an endless feast, who wanders and crosses different intonations of blue. It evokes the memory and the journey of a surrealist night.
